				Delayed maternity care means that care can not be given in the period directly after the birth of the baby, inside the required 10 days. There are multiple reasons: the baby is born prematurely or the mother and/or her child require a longer stay in the hospital for medical reasons. Delayed maternity care is not as long as regular maternity care. Every health insurance company has its own rules so you are advised to ask them about it. Also this kind of care will have to be requested before the actual homecoming.
