Maternity care is tuned to the care-need of the new mother and her baby. The conditions to the interpretation of this need are described in the Landelijk Indicatie Protocol ( LIP), drawn up with the help of the health insurance companies. Since January 2007 all maternity care companies have to follow this protocol.

The basis of this protocol is that everybody is entitled to 48 hours of care, divided over 8 days. If a complication should occur, more hours can be given. This is always done in close consultation with the midwife, maternity nurse and the agency.
Of course a person can choose for fewer hours with a minimum of 24 hours divided over 8 days.

After having registered with us you will receive an appointment for a prenatal house call in the 7th month of your pregnancy. While taking into account the progress of your pregnancy, your own wishes and the family situation the actual fulfillment of your oncoming care period can be filled in during this house call. The indication protocol will be explained and you will receive a copy of the agreement.
